Kinder Edge is located on the edge of Hayfield, a popular village in the Peak District, with a setting that combines countryside privacy and practical convenience. Positioned beside Kinder Reservoir, the property offers direct access to well-maintained walking routes around the water, as well as straightforward access onto Kinder Scout for those looking to explore higher ground and longer hiking trails.
The house is surrounded by established woodland. Mature beech, oak and other native trees provide a natural boundary and a good degree of privacy. The grounds feel enclosed and sheltered, with clear paths and open areas between the trees, creating a peaceful but usable outdoor space throughout the year.
Hayfield village itself is within easy reach and is well served by local amenities. It offers a selection of well-regarded pubs, cafés, a village shop, bakery, and other everyday conveniences, making it easy for guests to enjoy meals out or stock up without travelling far. The village has a strong community feel and is a popular base for walkers and cyclists.
For wider shopping, dining and transport links, the neighbouring towns of Glossop, New Mills and Buxton are all a short drive away. These towns provide supermarkets, independent shops, restaurants, leisure facilities and rail connections, giving guests flexibility during their stay.
Overall, Kinder Edge offers a practical base for exploring the Peak District, with immediate access to reservoir and moorland walks, good local facilities in Hayfield, and convenient connections to surrounding towns.
We’re selective about what homes make the collection. Every home is vetted and chosen for its design, its setting, and whether it actually delivers when you walk through the door.
We know rounding everyone up takes time. We can hold any property free for 24 hours while you check with the group. No payment, no commitment, no pressure.
Need a private chef for Saturday night? Help adding guests to a booking or choosing between three houses? Want the hot tub turned on? That’s what we’re here for.
