Welcome to Fferm Fach, a one-bedroom luxurious shepherd hut sleeping two. You can enjoy the stunning views across the countryside to Snowdon whilst you soak in the Kirami log burning hot tub, or are warmed by the fire pit in the willow garden. Enjoy a drink on the raised deck after roasting a feast on the inbuilt barbeque or in the stylish kitchen.

The secluded stay is just as gorgeous as the rural surroundings, expertly designed with handcrafted and sleek interiors. Inside you’ll find everything you could need for a wonderful weekend away, including a luxurious double bed, a kitchenette and a shower room.

And all this space is your own, with no neighbouring huts or yurts, just the livestock!

Hot Tub & Garden

The 2 person Kirami log burning hot tub is located at the rear of the shepherd hut for the utmost privacy, perfect for a hot soak with mountain views.

Stepping outside the shepherd hut is the decking area, which comes equipped with an eco cooler and outdoor furniture for al-fresco dining. Outside, you’ll also find a built-in gas barbeque, and a sunken firepit within the willow garden.

Animals

Your neighbours… Alpacas, Herdwick sheep, ducks, hens and sometimes a cockerel. In addition, you’ll see lots of wild rabbits, the odd pheasant, and if you’re lucky, a red squirrel.

Please note, to ensure animals remain happy and healthy and not unduly stressed by even the friendliest of four legged friends, we kindly ask that dogs are always kept on leads. For this reason, we also ask that only one dog is allowed per stay.

A relaxing and sustainable holiday – whatever the weather

Fferm Fach is a proud member of the Woodland Champions Club with ample sustainability credentials. The off-grid shepherd hut is fully insulated, has solar power and a modern composting toilet. Owing to solar panels there are the plug sockets which can be used for laptops but not hairdryers.

The shepherd hut is open all year, so if the sun is shining why not open the oak stable door and relax on the decking with a glass of wine, or take a soak in the log fuelled Swedish hot tub.

For colder days, take a woodland walk then cosy up on the sofa, watch the flames flicker in the stove, and look through the French doors at our alpacas, Herdwick sheep, hens and ducks. On a clear night relax in bed and gaze through the star skylight.

If you don’t feel like cooking, a 10 minute stroll down the lane brings you to the water’s edge of the Menai Strait and the Gazelle Hotel and Restaurant. Nearby, you’ll also find Beaumaris or Menai Bridge, easily accessible by car or taxi.
